It’s an amazing figure, but a recent survey by Freddie Mac and Roper Public Affairs and Media found that over half of borrowers facing foreclosure of their homes never to speak to their lender at all during the process.
In addition, three quarters of these borrowers remember contacted by their lender. There was a significant percentage of people gave reasons for the following contacts with their own attempts to develop alternative payment plans, but most often cited was the belief that their lender could not help with homeland of late payments. The next most common reasons cited involved pride, fear and embarrassment. The latter reason, although far less frequently than the others cited, is still important because about 61 percent of buyers of offenders said they did not know that a person could be an alternative payment to help plan, bind work out of their current financial. The survey found that 92 percent of these borrowers would be to have spoken their lenders if they had known that this option was open to them.
